Mar. 2nd, 2005 01:18 pmI want it to be my birthday NOW! On the plus side of life, the $3.99 felaffel I ordered for lunch was rung in at $1.99 through some mysterious process I am not able to fathom.
It's strange reading a blog of an author I admire. I mean, having this access to her nicely bridges the worlds of "professional" and "whatever" creation which is an arbitrary and silly distinction, largely maintained for purposes of sales and pretension. And yet, I have been trained to believe that somehow worth and excellence go hand in hand with inaccessibility.
I have yet to leave a comment. The snow is still fresh and I don't want to begin with an ill-considered footprint.

Date: 2005-03-02 08:29 pm (UTC)You must solve the first part of the mystery to save them, Birdgirl. What about that unworkable lj link? Is it just a clever ruse?
When is TTL's birthday?
(btw, no one really has to buy me a present. I will still love you).

Date: 2005-03-02 08:35 pm (UTC)Alas, I have no time for your anagrams(?) and so essays require that I abandon DinoBoy to his untimely fate!
(Hee, thanks. Sadly (frustratingly) I have neither the money nor time to do all the lovely things I want to do for my friends for their birthdays. When school is over, there will be such joy as the world has never seen.)

Date: 2005-03-02 09:55 pm (UTC)Not anagrams, no, no, something at once more demonic and infinitely simpler. You'll feel silly when you figure it out, Birdgirl. But now, you must put your cardigan back on to cover your feather print suit and return to your secret identity as a hard-knuckled, two-fisted UNIVERSITY STUDENT!!
The world shudders.
