Saving a Client from Himself
Feb. 20th, 2007 11:27 amI'm programming an online questionnaire at work. The intro page is already wordy and now the client wants a long 'LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT" added. It's no use telling them if people have to read 400 words before they get to the "click to begin" button, you will lose numbers on the survey.
So I'm putting the button at the top on the right so it stays "above the fold" and the text can flow and flow down the left where it can stroke the pres's ego and be easily ignored by users.
