My new icon is entitled, "The Sword of Graybeard".

Oh dear, tchatchke, how will I post with this icon to all those Hallmark types in corgipix?

Happy New Year, everyone. After an insane orgy of food (especially meat) yesterday, today was a healing day of beans and peppers in moderation.

And lying in bed readng Michael Chabon's The Final Solution which was tangentially powerful and full of delicious english.

Wouldn't "The Sword of Greymoustache" be more apt?

No, the significance is the amount of grey in my beard now that I've allowed it to grow in. My moustache is not particularly changed from its usual reds, browns and blonds, though there are a couple of whites in there.

I have three LJ icons in my "cache" but you can't have more than one operating unless you have a paid account, can you? And when I've chosen one, anyone who looks at any of my posts from ever would see that, no?

Anyway, happy new year, love. I'm just starting Parakiss #5 and I've fallen in love with the series. mea maxima culpa for any attitude I threw at it earlier. Quite a shift to the beginning of 5! It's post-school angst!
