Life is definitely good these days, but January is more challenging than usual. I want to sleep all the time, aches and pains are more accute and Snake and I lose our temper with each other more easily.
We had a big fight before he went to work last Friday and we both spun into depression for a few hours. When he came home that afternoon he said, "I was thinking of not coming home at all!"
"Where would you have gone?" I asked.
He thought about it for a minute. "I dunno. Your parents' house?"
("I've left that bastard of a son of yours! What's for dinner?")

It's always been that way, though we're good at cutting through manipulative bullshit and coming to positive resolutions. We're both temperamental types, but I guess we must love each other, because we keep coming back for more!
I started Ch. 30 yesterday and also did a new mapping-out doc of the rest of the book. Thirty-five chapters sounds right, I think. Home stretch!

I think that society puts pressure on us to perform at the same level all year around. This is not necessarily reasonable.
