talktoolooseI wrote a melody and couple of lyric fragments when we were in Turkey back in 2006. I just re-found a page of scribbled lyric ideas and I think the song is moving forward again. Yay.
I've set up a tricky rhyme scheme, though:
ABBC ADDC!
It's a totally freeform lyric, which theoretically opens up lots of possibilities, but it's easy to know when I'm way off base.
The chorus kept coming back to the words, "Give it away," which, of course, the Chili Peppers have already claimed. The easiest lyric move was to make it "Take it away," which turned out to be thematically better anyway. Yay.
This is what I do instead of crossword puzzles.
