Series Summary: This novel focusses mainly on the paths Iceman and Pyro take on their way to adulthood and how they discover and deal with their love for each other. It is a novel about what Joni Mitchell calls "the dream's malfunction" and how we can learn to make our own dreams when our heroes fail us. Other X characters and OC's play prominent roles and the action begins before X1, continues through the events of X2 and X3 and concludes in the aftermath of that movie.
Chapter Summary: Happy Halloween. Bobby and Kitty are trick or treating in the wrong way while the party at the mansion takes a surprising turn. Meanwhile in Boston, Mike learns that there is more to Jubilee's friends than meets the eye.

Yeah, I've never been satisfied with that beat. It's a red light for me when I repeat an action twice—in this case, Kitty doing reconaissance—and sure enough, it's caused a confusing moment. In an earlier draft, we started with Bobby in the waiting room. In that version, I think it would have been clearer that she's just found Marilla a few minues earlier. I added the earlier part of the scene in order to... um, I forget. But I like it. The Dazzler stuff, the logic of Kitty going in first, Bobby's introspection.

But whenever I find doing twice what can be done once, I should be trying harder.

Thanks. Let me know how it reads as single piece. The good news is that I haven't written in two weeks and it's killing me, so I won't let things slide too long.

India planning is also killing me, but all the work we're doing now will pay off in an eye-opening and wonderful holiday, I think.

Thank you! I just got back from vacation to this nice note. While I was away, I finished Chapter 15 in draft. I need a few days to edit and then I will send it to the beta readers. The suspense will end soonish!
