Challenges
Jan. 12th, 2007 12:47 pmI just saw a classified ad wherein a dom top was seeking a "submassive". Does this mean he will accept overweight but not obese?
I am choosing to be put in a position wherein one of my fears will be faced publicly. In the past, I believed that if you are irrationally afraid of something, you MUST do it and get over the fear. I have a more moderate view now. Not every fear is worth the energy of dispelling. Unfortunately, it's hard to know where the dividing line lies and you can end up on a slippery slope of challenging yourself less and less.
Well, I'm doing it, for better or worse. My life has a narrower focus as the years go by and I realize there are very few things I'm challenged about that I really care about. However, some of those I am massively (or submassively) challenged about are the very ones I care most about.
That's where the work is.
