Here is a quick mock-up of the four children. I'm going to have to work on this scanning procedure, because the high-res versions looked like shit. Anyway, I quickly (and badly) coloured the images and collaged them for you and to reassure my publisher.

From left to right: the wise child, the rebellious child, the simple child and the child who cannot even ask a question.

The wise child looks vaguely like what I imagine my mother-in-law looked like as a child. Which is appropriate.

They're wonderful! You have such a distinctive style. The first two are definitely my favourites, but for no particular reason that I can determine. Maybe because I can identify with both the nerdy one and the angry one, hee.

I love the expression on the cat. Then hands are maybe a little small for me, but hey, I'm in a whiny mood. Thanks for posting these. Now hurry up and post more!
