Meme ganked from [livejournal.com profile] kriostoir: Name your most important album from each year you've been alive.

This proved terribly difficult. First problem, I don't really have any attachment to any albums in the first four years of my life. Then there is the inevitable fact that some years produced three or four of my most important albums (1972, 1980 and 1982 spring to mind). In those cases, I had to make a judgement call. Sometimes I had to pick my second fave by a particular musician in one year while my fave by him/her/them was bumped in its year. Grrrr.

I gave up on a couple of years altogether.

I never would've pegged you for a Yes man.

One of the biggest traumas of the meme was having to decide between Ziggy Stardust and Close to the Edge for 1972. I prefer Close to Relayer.

I hate all Yes after Tormato (1979).

As PROG goes, I can take some Genesis. I loathe ELP and only like King Crimson once Adrian Belew joins and brings in some humour.

Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth

I'm not totally surprised. One of Canada's biggest bands of all times and still going strong.
