House Update 2
Jul. 15th, 2003 06:26 pmStill alive. arrgghhhhh. So, the tax is included but there is a $5200 fee on top of the price that covers a new house warranty and various city requirements. I took the day off to get some work done on the layout of the book and instead spent the whole fucking thing on the phone with the developer, the real estate agent, the bank that holds our current mortgage, our financial advisor, etc., etc.
Oh yeah, and we found out that the unit in the development we really want and that already conditionally sold became available again.
Tomorrow, the agent will reveal the grand plan for selling our house. The figure she quotes will determine whether we're going to make an offer on the townhouse. Of course, that will mean immediately taking out a $20,000 loan, paying it as a deposit and then, possibly, finding out that we can't sell our home for the amount of money the agent thought.
Then we're fucked.
As Snake harvested red currants from our garden this afternoon, he cried.
