More and more of them, I think. I seem to be pulling back from the world, at least in the sense of making my own life a work of art to present publicly. I seem to be more guarded of my "goods", all the better to transmute them through art. At least, that's my theory for my growing shyness and isolation.
I don't know if its natural to become less socially engaged. I guess I can imagine a person who becomes more gregarious with time. Evolutionarily, are we more driven to socialize in the search for a mate when we're young? Or perhaps in the search for role models?
Speaking of socializing, I think I'm going to go to New York for a week, arriving Monday evening, May 26. Want to come down and spend some time with me there? You can stay in Long Island and come into the city with me or whatever works for you.
