Thursdays

I've been having a lot of trouble with Thursdays. I am pretty intense when I'm in the office Mondays to Wednesdays, and lately my weekends have been intense, too. Therefore, by Thursday (my first day off) I'm kind of zombified. Yet, because it's a precious day off, I want to make it PRODUCTIVE.

This goal has been a complete failure. I try to work but instead do nervous, neurotic 'Net surfing while feeling guilty and miserable.

Today, I'm not doing that. I did some housecleaning this morning which was brainless and relaxing. That was followed by a leisurely lunch reading a great article about Daniel Day-Lewis in the last week's NY Times magazine (love him, love him, inspired by him). Now I'm blogging a bit then I'll sit down to write.

I will take the dog over to Snake's school in a couple of hours and we will walk him home.

I will nap then. This is how my Thursdays should look, especially in a time of year when I'm prone to depressive reactions.

I am only 22% suffused by guilt as I make this evil, slovenly schedule public.
