I am a bit dubious about the chance of finding such a peripheral used. What part of town are you staying in? My usual store (because it's around the corner from me) is the store-formerly-known-as CPUSED, now BeamEcho (http://www.cpused.com).

There are other good ones including Carbon Computing (http://www.carbonation.com/) but again, such an item used? mmmNot sure. Ebay.

I would go for the electrical tape first, frankly.

Thanks! I mean, I'm only looking for a used one because I assume a new one is stupidly expensive. I will look around. And in the meantime, this bandaid I have wrapped around it seems to be working ok.
