EEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

I did it! I have a wired ethernet network in the house! The hub is in the basement by the main computer and now Toutou can plug into the wall in his room on the 2nd floor and be on the network for Internet, sharing and printing.

There will also be a connection in the livingroom

So, out of the blue, as if she wasn't an incompetent git and as if I hadn't said humiliating things to her on the phone, the doctor's secretary phoned all sweetness and light and said that she could squeeze me in for surgery on February 2.

Then my long-lost guitarist from my 1990s band called from Alberta and said he'll be in Toronto for the first time in nine years while I'm just post-operative. I said I couldn't go dancing with him but if he comes over, we can share my pain killers. It was so good to hear his voice! I love him to bits. I wonder if he's gotten fat?

I haven't had my nap yet and now I'm all keyed up.
