Why do I even listen to these idiots?

Yesterday, it was cloudy but bright yet they predicted RAIN. So I left my bike at home. Today, the previously RAINY Thursday forecast was updated to "NO RAIN," yet it was damp and clammy and cold and felt like imminent precipitation.

But I paid for that forecast with my tax dollars so I took my bike. It rained from the time I left my street. Now, half an hour before I'm set to leave, it is pouring and the Environment Canada forecast says "WET FLURRIES".

I know better then they do! Why do I listen?

This was a hard day but it was made better by corduroyarmy who, in respsonding to the praise meme wrote about me:

and the things you believe in, even if they are difficult."

And to appelle who brought me back to my senses with her sensitivity and insight and helped me separate the wheat from the chaff in my own little field.

Also to Alexander Payne for Sideways which gave me further perspective and reminded me that artists must love humanity in all its heartbreaking intensity above all else.
