Slave Labor Graphics has just released a trade of one of my favourite recent comic books, Igor Baranko's Skaggy the Lost, a tale about Vikings heading off to plunder the Aztecs. The book is gorgeously drawn, hilarious and filled with sex, violence and psychedilia. Baranko reminds me a bit of Sergio Aragones doing his Groo stuff, but his line is much more sure and his graphic design sense much more divinely lickable.
This book, along with Tupelo, Street Angel and Autumn makes Slave Labor the company that brings me more excitement than any other lately.
