LOL! I think there is such a thing as a good death. "Tragic death" to me usually means that the person was very young and/or that the death was unexpected. Death as the natural end to life with plenty of time to prepare is, I think, the antonym of tragic death.

Also, Auden weighed in on this ditinction between deaths more and less tragic: As the poets have mournfully sung, Death takes the innocent young, The rolling in money, The screamingly funny, And those who are very well-hung.
