Meme and Me
Aug. 17th, 2006 08:53 amMeme (with original awkward wording): post one sentence from every WIP you're working on.
Tension city and I need to break the cycle. I know, I'll go cycling. I have a regular six month appointment with my cardiologist this morning where he'll yell at me for going off my meds (that I don't feel I need) and I'll say, "uh-huh".
Then I hope to be meeting with
appelle to discuss story stuff. Also, I will try to reach
rfmcdpei. I must forge ahead on the bar mitzvah video before my brother returns to the project. If I don't take charge of the process, it will not be completed by Labour Day weekend AND Snake and I want to go away the week before.
I have video clips of my family playing recorder music and the dog racing my nephew down the stairs that I want to post on Youtube. I will give you links when the time comes.
I must beta
kuria_dalmatia's fic and write some of mine, too.
We are watching HBO's Rome which is well acted, plotted and designed but doesn't quite dig deep enough. It's budget is higher than the BBC's 70s Romefest, "I, Claudius", but it's not as juicy and nasty. Snake is an ancient Rome junkie so he's making me burn it all. The idea of telling history through episodic TV is actually an excellent one.
We know that Brutus will eventually kill Caesar (end of Season 3 maybe? I'm guessing) but the way the details are filled in and the story told can make it very rich.
"Young chicks and old women alike assumed he was out to hustle them; men didn’t trust him regardless of age."
