One of the things I'm trying Is dictation software; specifically, iListen for the Mac. Right now I'm going through the rather interesting process of training the dictation software to understand me. I do this by reading stories and texts to the computer and also by letting it analyze documents I've previously written so that it can learn my style.
Whether this ends up as more than a game, I can't say yet. But it is kind of fun. It's not just the software the needs to learn my voice, it's me who has to learn how to write speaking. Apecifically in the context of livejournal, I have worked hard to you develop a conversational style of writing. And yet as I dictate now, I find my writing incredibly stilted. Still, it's cool to be standing with my hands in my pockets writing an LJ entry.
