to_cry_about has finished her stately and subtly painted X-Men fanfic novella, The Aphanes which you can find by clicking on the banner above. It is a true oddity of X-fic as it largely takes place in Ottawa and environs with a truly knowledgeable ear to Canadian politics, French/English relations, the experience of mental illnes and Canadian indie music.

If you think of any other good communities, let me know. I'm looking through LJ for appropriate places. There's an Xavier comm, but it's low traffic and the last few posts have been mostly me pimping, which makes me feel ooky.
