Longfellow Serenade
Apr. 19th, 2005 10:09 amRedwing Blackbirds sang me up Poplar Plains this morning.
It was amazingly hard to decide to bike to work this morning but I'm glad I did. I stay up too late reading and then have no energy in the morning and it takes mind over body reasoning to remember that I will feel more energized, not less, if I get over the lethargy and take the bike.
Actually, last night, I stayed up writing a 100-word X-fic. (It's just a minor drabble, but if you want, here it is. It's an answer to challenge to write an LJ entry for an X-character.) I remember last year when
redrunner was doing 50-word stories. It's a wonderful and fruitful kind of problem-solving.
Snake and I are going to New York tomorrow to spend Passover with my sister's family on Long Island. It will be good to get away as a couple. One thing about living in a threesome is that the various twos have to find ways to maintain their unique links.
I'm going to take Snake to a few places I visited since he was last in NYC with me including The Cloisters (which
briseur, James and I explored last spring) and the Lower East Side including the Tenement Museum. Following our viewing of Ric Burns' New York Doc, I think we will feel really connected to the city.

Date: 2005-04-20 02:20 am (UTC)I'll be in Manhattan the first week of June. Eventhough it's for business, I promised myself to make the serious effort to see a show.
BTW, I found your 100's story. Excellent, as always.
