boo-ha (whatevah dat means)

While deciding whether I was up to going to appelle's b'day party on Saturday night, I happened to read a post by snowmit that made it clear that the decision had been taken out of my hands since the freakin' party had already happened on Friday. Oops.

Imagine my surprise when the phone rang and it was said appelle phoning, not to give me shit, but because she was worried about me. Seems I've vanished and not even posted.

I'm okay. Last week was rather more or a bummer than I could fathom but this weekend was blessedly full of recovery.

2 upcoming posts:

1. Post-war American cities and confluence with my ideals (in the wake of watching the last part of Ric Burns' New York doc).

2. Walmartization of our lives (in wake of everything including Snake's spontaneous pay-cut of 20% in public-sector post-secondary education and Toutou's new job in the private sector of the same industry.)

Also, a_trick_mind, while not out of the woods, will likely survive for now.

Also, one of my favourite writers, Maureen F. McHugh, has a new blog! ...which she started upon learning of her Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis.

This is truth. My longer conversation with Appelle made me forget. I thank you for your concern and friendship. Why does that sound like a line from a form letter? It's not.
