I'm not sure now where that angsty post came from. Weird. I mean, that guy is definitely a component of who I am these days, but this is what really happened on Saturday:

1. Great yard sale scores all over the neighbourhood

2. Yummy croissant breakfast

3. Expedition to Canadian Tire for tent poles, chin-up bar, dog toys and more

4. Awesome Mexican all you can eat buffet lunch

5. Chilling at home reading angsty fanfic

6. Making a poorly drawn but useful first pass at the next cover design

7. Dios tészta for dinner

8. Beautiful evening walk to the video store with whole family (except cat) including buying the first Ontario Royal Gala apples on the way home.

9. Two episodes of Sex and the City on DVD (just 2 more to go and that's it. *sadness*).

10. At various times, listening to Björk's Medulla which I found used yesterday.

11. Lively debate on [livejournal.com profile] gay_sex_tips around someone's cheating boyfriend leading to LJ drama and screened posts. Go mods!

So, in summary, previous post's emotions were real but I can't relate to them anymore. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Well emotions change all of the time. Goodness, sometimes I cry when I see a tree ;-)

But that's one of the cool things about posting on LJ regularly. I can get all of it down on virtual paper, look back a few hours or days later, and say "what the hell was I thinking/feeling/etc?" ;-)

Hope you weekend was well!

Department of Perverse Hungarian food

"Teszta" is noodle or pasta.

"Dio" is walnut, the "s" ending makes it an adjective (and in other contexts, a noun). Make some pasta (we used fusili), toss it with some butter and cover liberally with ground walnuts and sugar.

cf. "makos teszta" where you do the same but with obscene quantities of ground poppy seed instead of walnut. This latter can make certain Hungarians lose their minds in ecstacy.

I'll call you later today and find out in what state (figurtively and literally) you are in.
