Disco is all about goodness and slick joy.

When David Byrne wrote the lyric, "This ain't no party / This ain't no disco," Talking Heads were cheered as if they were champions of the movement to halt the mirror balls. In fact, TH loved all kinds of dance music. David Byrne wrote that attacks on disco were both anti-black and homophobic.
