Brief comments on the end of Survivor 15.

Wow! Fascinating turn of events. Amanda should clearly have been the winner. Todd may be loud and outgoing and apparently the puppet-master, but he did many flips and flops while Amanda stayed focussed. She is the superior strategian. Furthermore, she won two or three individual immunities and pissed off fewer people.

So why did Todd get the votes? Amanda totally fell apart with guilt because of Denise's cheesy sob story. Strong Amanda who had everything going for her spent most of the final council in front of the jury hunched over with tears in her eyes. I wonder what triggers Denise hit inside her.

That's why she lost. She couldn't marshall her arguments, she couldn't answer the jury as well as Todd could. Period.

Very disappointing. Not the worst outcome, but sad. Frankly, if Courtney had one it would at least have been cosmically amusing.

Also, in the end, I still think women are castigated as bitches if they're strategic while men are lauded as real players.

I agree with the last, though I haven't witnessed that show in ages (...seasons?).

This was Season 15 (at two per year). We've been addicted since Season 4. It's the only TV show we actually watch the week it comes out and it is perpetually riveting.

So you've told me. It's the kind of TV that I try and avoid because I just can't dedicate a solid time period every week (and half the time, I seem to end up with labs during the TV shows I do want to watch...). It's frustrating when you miss stuff.
