Sold the Piano

All right, it all turned out well.

Yesterday, a piano dealer came around and said nice things about the instrument; however, he wasn't able to make a commitment, saying people are buying new Chinese and Korean instruments rather than old instruments.
He said he'd call me back today.

In the meantime, a musician who answered my Craigslist ad came around to look. He took the panels off, checked everything very expertly and then announced he wanted it. He wants a real piano for his son to learn on. "He has a midi keyboard," he told me, "but kids need real instruments that make real noises when banged."

I felt I had found a good home for the instrument, so I took his cheque. He promises to get it out within a week, just in time for the move.

Yay (he says clutching his chest sadly).
