talktoolooseI am clearly borderline manic-depressive or something. ("clearly" or "something" -- even my blog needs a beta reader).
I get into states like I've been in for the last several days where I am incapable of doing anything and I distract myself with endless Internet clickery before I finally make things happen, like, six hours after I wake up. This also applied the days I was at work this week. I accomplished amazingly little!
But! Things are happening. I have lambchops marinating in the fridge, I have garlic roasting in the toaster oven. I have field greens for a salad and little tiny red potatoes for Snake's birthday dinner tonight. I also have a boxed but okay looking cheesecake. Furthermore, the Ontario cabernet sauvignon that I bought came with a little sample icewine bottle so dessert is double covered.
I also took him to see The Queen yesterday and we had a good time. "It's 'Ma'am' like 'ham'. Not 'Maaaam" like 'farm'." But seriously, we never go out to the real cinema and I remember why each time. We paid 20 bucks for the privilege of 40 minutes of advertizing. The pre-houselights ads were so loud we couldn't talk and they were on, I swear, a four minute loop. Eventually we were shouting out better answers to the Movie Trivia™ questions.
"Clytemestra!" "Evelyn Waugh in a tutu!"
I'd rather be home with a $4 DVD that I can pause. Fuck the communal experience. That's what theatre's for, you fucking Philistines.
Is it racist if you capitalize "Philistines" and neutral if you don't?
