Six weeks ago (less?) our backyard was a bowl of snow. Now life returns. We've bought plants (including yellow raspberries) and hung clothes out to dry. The cat basically lives in the warm world sights, sounds and smells. The lilac is about to bloom.
Life is good.

Date: 2003-05-05 02:19 pm (UTC)Yeah, he was always a big boy. A year ago, he was just under 17 pounds. He was on a calorie reduced food. Then he started getting urinary tract problems. The vet switched him to a preventative food after directly attacking the problems with anti-biotics. The urinary tract problems vanished, but the new, higher fat food made him balloon. We sort of didn't notice as it was day by day. So, we took him to the vet a few weeks ago: 22 pounds. Can you believe it?
See, there is no amount of food that will satisfy this beast. He has no internal stop switch. So, now we're on a food that both reduces calories and prevents urinary problems. That and the increased summer activity should help.
Sheesh.
