snowmit termed my "viral" way of conquering them. This all came up in a great post-show walk along Queen Street after the LCD Soundsystem / MIA show on Saturday night. Later.
In the meantime, here is a link that may be of no interest to anyone but me, but it's pretty cool that it exists at all. The Aphanes is a well-written, multi-chapter X-Men fanfic byto_cry_about which combines X-world and the world of Canadian politics. The main character is an OC ("original character" in fanspeak) who is a troubled young mutant son of a Canadian senator, sent to Xavier's school for therapy with Prof. X.
A new chapter has just been posted and the story is now shifting back to Ottawa in the wake of an anti-mutant terrorist attack within the halls of Parliament. How cool is that?
The author also manages to stick in Canlit and Rheostatics quotes.
