Thank you all for your birthday greetings (gracias, todah, arigato). I got home last night and Snake had made the most amazing dinner featuring Italian sausauges baked on a bed of sauerkraut, applesauce and beer and finishing with this:



He made it with no flour -- only breadcrumbs, ground poppyseeds and eggs. It's in two layers with his homemade red currant jam between and bittersweet chocolate on top. He is threatening to get really into baking. I could live with that.

As was evidenced by yesterday's post, I demand love and recognition lately. This is a good thing because it actually goes against my tendency to shy away from being publically praised. I'm an odd cat: I'm an attention whore who gets embarrassed if he's noticed.

Anyway, thank you all for being in my life.

Thank you; it was low key but delicious and the outpouring of love I have received has been the greatest present of all. Well, actually, the cake was, but the love is pretty good, too.

Yes, I got the 100s. I had an email to you that I thought I sent. Hmmm. Thanks so much for the beta! Your comments were exactly what I needed to read. I was inspired today at work, so I've made some changes and additions. I'm liking it again.

I'm better -- the cough has calmed down and my chest doesn't hurt -- but still very tired. I timed my decongestants wrong last night and ended up exhausted but jittery. Thanks for asking.
