Call the Dogs!

Help me! I'm trapped at work! This press release has to go live tonight and I still haven't received the largest section for programming.

Luckily I just found the taxi chits in the receptionist's drawer. If I ever get out of here, I'm going home in style.

I did the pizza run for the stalwart crew who are toiling on the release this evening. I had to wade through 1,000+ Tamils who were protesting outside the Sri Lankan consulate just down the road, right in front of the pizza place.

The police were keeping the protestors on the sidewalk, so I just stepped out onto the roadway to protect my precious cargo. I swear to god, it was kind of awesomely awful. I was left alone to violate the law because I had pizzas and a white face.

Luckily I slept insomnia-free last night!

"Yes, I'd like an order of White Privilege with Extra Cheese, please." But honestly, no matter what race the players were...who would bring pizza to a political protest?

I think the police could relate to my "plight." "Shit, the guy just wants to enjoy some pizza! And we're here to protect that right!"

If it had been a box of doughnuts, I probably would have gotten a squad car escorting me.
