I'm sorry to offer a comment of even less substance than usual, but I'm in the middle of my very stressful pass-this-or-get-kicked-out-of-med-school exams, as evidenced by the fact that every time John gets injured in this chapter my brain immediately jumps in with "And THAT would probably cause a baroreceptor reflex response" etc. I enjoyed reading it very much nonetheless.
