Tomorrow morning we're heading off for six nights in Algonquin. I will be totally offline, yes I will.

I have been quite out of sorts the last few weeks and I was looking forward to nothing including this vacation. But things seem better now. I had a great day with the visiting briseur on Saturday and learned how to ogle chicks. Saturday night, we burned snowmit's tie, thus cutting his ties to his employer. He is an inspiration. In fact, it is possible I choose friends because they inspire me. Give yourselves all a pat on the back.

I have been a bad boy, making promises to people I could not keep. Of the people reading this, the only one I've let down is, I think, ashe_frost. Oh dear, I feel really bad about not getting to your fic. I really will but you might want to look elsewhere if you've just gotta get it up before, say, the second week of August.

*sigh* I hate being unreliable.

Oh well, the wilderness heals all.

I've been looking at tents myself. I want to go to Tofino for a few days at the end of August. the professor (you know who I mean) wants me to drive him to the Rockies but I can't afford his need to stay in only 4 or 5 star hotels. He booked a car and I told him go ahead but he seems to take that as me comitting to drive in that direction when I want to go to the Island. Anyway, he wont see the inside of the youth hostel so I think I will ditch him for a Chinese friend of mine I just met and the prez of Out and ABout and camp on the Windy side of the Island. I have never been there so it should be mazing - 200km of white sandy beach - way cool...enjoy the moose in Algonkin and being away from Tokyo ...I mean Toronto...well what the hell is the difference these days .... kuso atsui n desu yo !

We just bought a nice little two-person tent from MEC which, I think, is a discontinued model called the Merganser. They were clearing it out for $140 which is awesome deal. This model has now been replaced by the Hummingbird 3. Check MEC in Van and see if they are still clearing the Merganser.

We saw FOUR moose!
